Matthew 15:21-28

Matthew 15:21-28

  1. We see that true faith may sometimes be found, where it might have been least expected.
  2. We see that affliction sometimes proves a blessing to a person's soul.
  3. We see that Christ's people are often less gracious and compassionate than Christ Himself.
  4. We see what encouragement there is to persevere in prayer, both for ourselves and others.

"Above all, let us tell men continually that they must not judge of Christ by Christians. Let us assure them that there is far more in that gracious Master, than there is in the best of His servants."

"Let us be sure that no time is so well-spent in every day, as that which we spend upon our knees."

Hi! My name is Shaun Martens, and I have the joy of serving the local body of Christ called First Baptist Church of Calgary as one of its pastors. I am married to my beautiful wife, Madelyn, and together we have 5 children, 3 of which we have the joy of parenting. I created this podcast to make the edifying writings of J.C. Ryle more accessible in a listening and devotional format.
If you are encouraged by this work or have any feedback or questions, I would love to hear from you! My email is smartens@firstbaptistcalgary.com.
